As the highly anticipated release of Guardians Of The Galaxy: Vol 3 approaches, excitement among fans of the beloved franchise continues to grow. The crew of The Benetar has won the hearts of many, and after a five-year wait since the last solo outing, expectations for the final instalment are at an all-time high. Despite details about the plot being kept under wraps, one question on everyone's mind is the role that Gamora will play in the movie, following the events of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.

Is Gamora still alive?

It has been confirmed that Gamora will feature in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, but it's important to clarify that it won't be the same Gamora that fans grew to love. Instead, the Gamora we will see is from the 2014 version of Thanos' timeline, who was brought to the present. The original Gamora, who tragically met her demise in Infinity War when she was sacrificed to obtain the Soul Stone, will not be making a return. Therefore, while technically alive, the character that fans will see in the upcoming film is not the same one they may have been anticipating.
